Long ago, I made up my mind that when things were said involving only me, I would pay no attention to them, except when valid criticism was carried by which I could profit.” My homie Courtney has done a lot of good things in 05 and i'm sure his success will follow him in 06. To assist him I've decided that I will give him my point of view and express on how I feel about searching for relationships. I'm going to discuss something that many mature adults fail to discuss or realize.
Lets talk about this thing called love. Its the only pure thing in the world....not hate, not joy, not sorrow, not even friendship....Love is the only thing that endureth forever and the one thing that everyone searches for....
How many of you actually say that they have been in love. Now, honestly think and realize what I talking about here. I don't mean who u had puppy love for or who you had a crush on but who u were in love w/. I'm not talking about the clubs you go too looking for the good looking woman or man. I'm not talking about the love you search for when you go to lounges, poetry readings,, church functions or concerts. And don't say you don't do it. All of us are guilty of looking for that.
But remember the saying or the song,"Looking for love in all the wrong places."
I wrote this poem a while ago.. but it fits the topic of discussion so I'll use it again..
Love is an emotion a feeling that cannot be described or controlled. Love makes you do things that are out of the ordinary.
Love is that feeling in ur stomach on the late night as u lye in the bed waiting for that phone call.....
Love is hearing the sound of their voice knowing that by hearing just the sound could calm all around u...
Love is turning a deaf ear to friends and family who don't agree, but b/c the opportunity for love is far and few between you accept the consequences....
Love is sending money for someone to come home.....but u never see them...
.Love is knowing that in a crowded room full people the only person that's on ur mind is not there.....Love is sacrificing what u have in order to give them what they need.....
Love is thinking before speaking......
Love is traveling to and fro, to see someone just to see the smile on their face b/c of ur presence....
Love is cooking candle light dinners for that special someone.....although they never show
Love is hearing a song and remembering the emotion and the feeling that a person gave to you....
Love is not knowing what tomorrow brings but excepting today for what it is and dealing w/ it...
Love is wishing the best for that person although they may no longer be apart of ur life......
Love is sacrificing all that u have and doing what ever it takes to make someone else happy b/c u don't want them to feel on ounce of pain..
Love is ultimately letting go of what is the considered normal and allowing abnormal things to take place......
As I stated before, I was guilty of looking for love....Yes, i too looked for love in all the wrong places. But as you get older and wiser you begin to realize that finding love means understanding that Love is having blind faith. It took me forever to allow love to find me but it finally has. Not at all but Love found me and has given me this beautiful woman whom one day i will call my wife and companion.
Just knowing that Love will happen and its not something you have to search for....Love is like a drug....Once you get a little taste you want to continuosly have that emotion, have that feeling....You don't find love...love ultimately will find you

please make clear to the blogger world that that poem is old.. and all of the "Love is something negative was BEFORE me..
Very good post. LOL to ttd's response. It's always great to find someone that you love and who loves you as deep as you love them.
hopefully this clears things up for you TTD and for anyone else who may have thought any bad thoughts.....LOL
Read what you said and I enjoyed it. Also checked on TTD blog and see that the two of you seem to be made for one another. Love as you say is something that people need to allow to find them. Instead of seeking it out like it's that late night after club Ass call. A lot of females fall into that Category of searching. But then they find themselves in a random guys beds every other weekend wondering why nobody loves them. And it's b/c they are looking for love and not allowing love to find them...
lol, though love seems to be something negative...

Awwww! I too agree that love is something that seeks you out and you can't go looking for it because you will never find it.
You two seem to have a beautiful relationship. I'm so happy to see REAL love. :-)
